Thursday 2nd April. Westminster School.
This is an opportunity to see the historic buildings which the school occupies and the Busby Library.
The tour will last around 2-21/2 hours.Meet at 12.50 pm for 1.00 pm at the entrance to Westminster School in Dean's Yard (the archway which frames the Victoria Tower in it). (Nearest underground station is Westminster).Leader: Jill Hicks Cost : £7.00. 22 places.
Wednesday 8th April. The Cavalry and Guards Club.
Founded in 1890, the Cavalry Club has always occupied its present premises, and was joined by the Guards Club in 1976. There will be a talk on the history of the Club which will be followed by a tour.
Meet at 2.50 pm for 3.00 pm at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly. Leader: Jill Hicks  Cost: £6.00 which includes tea, coffee and biscuits.20 places.
Monday llth May. Saddlers' Hall.
The Saddlers received their first charter - more correctly a grant of liberties - from Edward III in 1363. The tour will last 2 hours.
Meet at 1.45 pm for 2.00 pm at the Main Entrance in the Courtyard of the Saddlers' Hall,Gutter Lane. (Nearest underground station is St. Paul's). Leader: Jill Hicks Cost: £6.00 which includes tea and coffee. 30 places.
Monday llth May. Rudge Memorial Lecture.
This annual event hosted by the West Essex Archeological Group will be held in the
Assembly Hall at the Woodford County High School for Girls. The subject this year will be 'A New History of Roman Britain from Coins?' by Sam Moorhead of the British Museum. The lecture starts at 8.00 pm and admission and refreshments are free.
Thursday 21st May. Woodford Green National Trust May Fair.
This will be held at the Hawkey Hall to raise funds for Wicken Fen. Please support it
between 10.00 am and 7.00 pm. There will be many stalls there and Scan Reid, Head
Gardener at Ickworth, will answer questions 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. If you have any spare time the Committee would appreciate your help on our stall.


Tuesday 9th June. BAPS Shri Swaninarayan Mandir.
Europe's first traditional Hindu Temple was opened in 1995. There will be a guided tour. Report to Reception at 11.00 am prompt.
Leader: Jill Hicks. Cost: £6.00 which includes entrance fee to Exhibition and Video Theatre, and a donation. The Shayona Cafe sells vegetarian snacks. Full details of dress code etc. will be sent on confirmation of booking.
Saturday, llth July. Coach Outing to Kentwell Hall.
Following on from last year's theme of "doing something a bit different", we have booked a day visit to Kentwell Hall, Suffolk. July llth is set aside for the "Great Annual Re-Creation Of Tudor Life" in and around this beautiful moated manor house. We will walk through the time tunnel and spend the day mingling with over 200 actors who will bring to life a day on this great Tudor estate during a given year. You  can watch them work and play, listen in on gossip of the given year and engage them in conversation. However you will be given many household tips that could still be relevant today. 21st century catering and other facilities are available.
Coach leaves the Hawkey Hall at 9.00 am. Leader: Peter Lawrence. Cost inclusive of discounts is £26 per person
Sunday 2nd August. BBC Broadcasting House.
On your tour you will walk the famous corridors and be taken to places not usually seen by the public, including radio studios, the Council Chamber, and a host of other backstage gems that may be available on the day. The tour will last l-2 hours and quite a lot of walking is involved.
Meet at 2.00 pm for 2.10 pm prompt at the Main Reception in Broadcasting House, northend of Regent Street, where it becomes Portland Place. (Nearest underground  station is Oxford Circus).
Leader : Jill Hicks. Cost: Adults £9.50, Concessions £8,50. 20 places.
Sunday 6th September. Epping Forest Festival on Chingford Plain.
Lots of stalls and demonstrations. Come and support the Committee on our stall.
